The City of Fargo announced on Mar. 9 that it is seeking applicants for the position of Associate Deputy Clerk of Municipal Court.

The role is important for ensuring the smooth operation and record-keeping of the municipal court system. The person hired will be responsible for reviewing, filing, and processing court documents, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports. Duties also include coordinating case files, attending court sessions, managing courtroom activities, receiving payments, and maintaining financial records.

According to the announcement, candidates must have an associate’s degree from an accredited college in business or public administration, accounting, criminal justice, or a related field. Additionally, applicants should have at least two years of progressively responsible office, legal, or court clerical experience with significant customer or public interaction. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered.

The salary for this position starts at $26.88 per hour and includes benefit options and a defined contribution retirement plan. Applications must include a letter of application, resume, and three professional references. Candidates who receive a conditional offer will be required to undergo a background investigation and drug screening.
