Deputy State Court Administrator Kelly Hutton took part in a recent court clerks conference held in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The event brought together participants from several Pacific jurisdictions, including the Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, and Palau.

During the conference, training sessions addressed topics such as professionalism, leadership, effective communication, working with self-represented litigants, and ethics. Additional sessions provided guidance on customer service skills and practical applications of the judiciary’s code of conduct.

The Pacific Judicial Council sponsored the conference. The Council aims to promote judicial and legal education among its member jurisdictions: American Samoa, Guam, The U.S. District Court of Guam, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, and Palau.

Kelly Hutton currently serves as President of the National Association of Court Managers. She is recognized nationally for her expertise in court management and caseflow management. Hutton co-taught at the conference alongside Maria T. Cenzon (Judge of the Superior Court of Guam), Danielle Rosete (Administrator of the Courts of Guam), and Heather Kennedy (Magistrate Judge and Clerk of the District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands).
