Leadership Bismarck Mandan visits North Dakota Supreme Court as part of Law & Legislature Day

Leadership Bismarck Mandan, a program established by the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC, visited the North Dakota Supreme Court on January 14. The visit was part of Law & Legislature Day at the state capitol. Issue Day Chairs for the event were Sen. Sean Cleary, Kay LoCoe, and Annique Lockard.

During their time at the Supreme Court, participants met with Justice Douglas Bahr. Justice Bahr discussed the functions of the supreme court and the state court system, explained how cases are brought before the supreme court, and described the roles of judges and justices. He also addressed other aspects of court operations.

After a session in the courtroom, attendees toured both the justice’s conference room and chambers. The day concluded with a meeting with Governor Kelly Armstrong.
