Naturalization ceremonies in Fargo to welcome new citizens on March 17

Two naturalization ceremonies are scheduled to take place in Fargo on March 17, 2026. The events will be held at the Sanctuary Events Center, located at 670 4th Avenue North. The first ceremony is set for 9:00 a.m. and will be presided over by U.S. Magistrate Judge Alice R. Senechal, with musical performances by fifth graders from Oak Grove Lutheran School. The second ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m., overseen by Chief District Court Judge Peter D. Welte, and feature music from the Shanley Quintessence of Shanley High School.

Kjersti Armstrong, First Lady of North Dakota, is scheduled to speak at both ceremonies.

A total of about 186 individuals from 43 different countries are expected to become new citizens during these ceremonies. The events are open to the public.
