North Dakota Attorney General finds Killdeer Area Ambulance met most notice rules but delayed records

The North Dakota Attorney General has issued an opinion regarding the Killdeer Area Ambulance Service’s compliance with meeting notice and open records requirements.

According to the opinion, the ambulance service “substantially complied with special meeting notice requirements for its first special meeting when technical difficulties prevented notice being sent to official newspaper.” The opinion also states, “The Killdeer Area Ambulance properly noticed its second special meeting.” However, it was found that “The Killdeer Area Ambulance Service failed to provide open records within a reasonable time.”
