Mark Friese, who serves as the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel Representative for the District of North Dakota, participated in a presentation at the 2026 National Conference of CJA Panel Attorney District Representatives. The event took place in Houston, Texas.

Friese joined other panel representatives from various districts to discuss strategies under the topic “Bold Moves in Response to the Funding Crisis.” The session addressed approaches that legal professionals are considering amid ongoing funding challenges.

The conference brought together CJA panel attorney district representatives from across the country to share experiences and solutions regarding resource limitations and related issues within the criminal justice system.
