The Technical Support Analyst I will report to the Deputy Director of Technology and does not supervise other staff. Additional duties involve installing and configuring computers and related equipment, updating software on workstations across the Wide Area Network (WAN), resolving printing or scanning problems, researching new technology solutions, creating technical documentation such as user manuals, managing user accounts for various systems including email and help desk applications, and providing phone-based help desk support.
To qualify for this role, candidates must have at least an associate’s degree or equivalent education or experience demonstrating their ability to fulfill the job’s essential functions. A valid driver’s license or evidence of equivalent mobility is also required.
Knowledge requirements include basic understanding of computer networking operations; familiarity with information technology concepts; knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL server operations; general business applications; and diagnostic skills to resolve technical issues. Skills needed include troubleshooting operating system applications on user computers; interpersonal communication; customer service abilities; problem-solving connectivity issues; maintaining documentation; presenting technical information clearly; and using help desk tracking systems.
Physical demands are typical of office environments but may require occasional travel within the state. Work can be adjusted based on weather or travel conditions.
